About us
Built from lived experience.
Banksia Care is an NDIS registered provider and aged care service founded in Gregory Hills, Camden NSW. We were built by individuals who have navigated disability, neurodivergence and caring firsthand, and that shapes everything we do.
Our story
Why Banksia Care exists.
Banksia Care was founded in Gregory Hills, Camden, by individuals who had lived the experience of navigating disability support systems: as participants, as carers, and as professionals who saw the gap between what participants needed and what was available.
The name comes from the Banksia, a native Australian plant known for its resilience, its ability to thrive in difficult conditions, and its role in supporting the broader ecosystem. That is what we aim to be: a service that helps participants and families thrive, even when the conditions are hard.
Banksia Care supports children, teenagers, adults and older Australians across NDIS and aged care. Many of the individuals we work with have invisible disabilities: autism, ADHD, anxiety, sensory processing differences. We do not require proof or a diagnosis before we listen, and we do not minimise what we cannot see.
For older adults, that means support that preserves dignity, connection and independence. Not a system that manages decline, but one that recognises what still matters and builds around it.
We are not a large corporate provider. We are a local, community-based service that knows Gregory Hills, Camden, Campbelltown and the surrounding areas, knows its families, and is committed to being here for the long term.

What we stand for
Our values in practice.
Dignity
Every person deserves to be treated with respect, regardless of their disability, age, communication style or support needs.
Safety
Physical, emotional and psychological safety is non-negotiable for participants, families and staff.
Inclusion
We support participants toward their own goals. Not the goals we think they should have.
Growth
We support participants toward their own goals, not the goals we think they should have.
We understand because we have been there.
Our team includes individuals with lived experience of disability, neurodivergence and caring. That experience informs how we listen, how we design support, and how we show up when things are hard.
