NDIS Capacity Building — Category 10

Employment pathways built around real people.

Whether you are leaving school or returning to work after time away, Banksia Care offers two distinct employment support pathways — each designed to build genuine confidence, not just tick a box.

Career Launch
School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES)

Leaving school and stepping into the workforce should feel exciting, not overwhelming.

Our Career Launch program is an approved SLES on the NDIS website pathway designed for Year 12 school leavers up to the age of 22. We focus on building real-world independence and confidence before a participant enters open employment.

Our Youth Focus Areas

Foundational Skill Building

Practical coaching centred on workplace communication, travel training, money management, and establishing reliable daily routines.

Work Experience & Industry Exploration

Hands-on support identifying real career interests through local work experience opportunities and shadowing mentors in fields that match individual passions.

Onboarding Assistance

Assistance drafting tailored resumes, practising interview techniques, and preparing for initial workplace entry.

Funding Alignment

SLES supports are claimed through a participant's approved NDIS Capacity Building budget under Support Category 10 (Finding and Keeping a Job), line item 10_021_0102_5_3.

Finding a job, changing careers, or returning to work after time away can be challenging at any stage of life.

Our Work Ready program supports adult NDIS participants who have been out of school for a while and require targeted help developing professional skills or navigating external employment networks.

Work Ready
Adult Employment & Capacity Building

Job Hunting & Applications

Practical help tailoring resumes for specific roles, completing application forms, and confidently preparing for job interviews.

Inclusive Employment Australia connections

We act as a collaborative bridge, helping participants connect directly with accredited local Inclusive Employment Australia providers and specialised vocational networks.

Funding Alignment

Work Ready supports are claimed via an eligible participant's approved 'Finding and Keeping a Job' capacity building allocation, strictly adhering to consolidated NDIS Act 2013 Regulations and current NDIS Pricing Arrangements.

Important regulatory & scope disclaimers

This administrative assistance is entirely optional. Free, government-funded independent advocacy pathways exist across Australia via the Ask Izzy Disability Advocacy Finder, and we are always happy to point you towards those free resources if you prefer.

Banksia Care provides individualised capacity building, skill development, and transitional mentoring. We do not act as a formal employment placement agency, deliver government job-seeker case management, or guarantee job outcomes.

All capacity-building supports operate in absolute compliance with the NDIS Amendment (Integrity and Safeguarding) Act 2026.
