About Banksia Care

A different kind of care and support.

Banksia Care provides NDIS support services and aged care across Gregory Hills, Camden, Campbelltown and surrounding areas — combining professional standards with genuine lived experience. Support is built around the whole person: their goals, their environment, their communication style, their sensory needs and the people around them.

We support children, teenagers, young adults, adults and older adults. We welcome participants with autism, ADHD, intellectual disability, sensory processing differences, anxiety, acquired brain injury and complex support needs. Disability can be visible, non-visible or not immediately apparent. That is well understood here.

Not a template. Not a one-size-fits-all model. A considered, practical response to real life.

Warm home interior

Person-centred from day one

In practice

What this actually means for you.

01

Built around the person

Every support plan starts with the person: their strengths, their sensory profile, their environment, and what a good day actually looks like for them. Programs adapt to people, not the other way around.

02

Invisible disabilities recognised

Invisible disabilities are recognised and respected here. A formal diagnosis is not a prerequisite for support. If something is affecting someone's daily life, that is sufficient.

03

Honest about fit

If Banksia Care is not the right fit, we will say so clearly, and where we can, point toward something that might be. Honesty is part of the service.

04

Families included

The people around a participant matter too. Families and carers are included in conversations from the start, because good support rarely happens in isolation.

Funding & fees

How support is funded.

Banksia Care works across a range of funding types. If you are unsure what applies to you, contact us. We can help you work through it.

NDIS — plan managed

If your NDIS plan is plan managed, your plan manager pays Banksia Care directly from your plan funds. You do not pay out of pocket for funded supports.

NDIS — self managed

If you self-manage your NDIS funding, you pay Banksia Care and then claim reimbursement from the NDIS. We provide all necessary invoicing and documentation.

NDIS — agency managed

As a registered NDIS provider, Banksia Care can claim directly through the NDIS portal for agency-managed participants. No out-of-pocket cost for funded supports.

Aged care funding

Banksia Care works with clients receiving aged care support through government-funded programs. Contact us to discuss your current package or funding arrangement.

Private / out of pocket

Some clients choose to access support privately, outside of a funded package. Private arrangements are available. Contact us to discuss rates and options.

Not sure what applies to you?

We can help you understand your funding options, what your plan covers and how to get started, without any obligation.

Why Banksia Care

What makes us different.

Lived experience

Our team includes individuals who have navigated disability, neurodivergence and family caring firsthand. We understand the reality behind the paperwork.

Neuro-affirming

We support the person, not a stereotype. Autism, ADHD, sensory differences and learning profiles are respected and accommodated, not treated as problems to fix.

Invisible disabilities welcome

Not all disability is visible. We do not require proof, and we do not minimise what we cannot see.

Sensory-aware

We think about environments, noise, lighting, transitions and routines, not just the activity on the plan.

Transparent

We will tell you honestly what we can offer, and when a different service may be a better fit.

Family-aware

Families and carers carry a lot. We see that, and we work with the whole support network, not just the participant.

Practical

Daily life skills, transport, meals, appointments, outings and connection all matter. We focus on what actually makes a difference.

Our core values

Dignity

Every person deserves to be treated with respect, regardless of their disability, age, communication style or support needs.

Honesty

We say what we mean. We tell you what we can do and what we cannot. No overpromising.

Safety

Physical, emotional and psychological safety is non-negotiable, for participants, families, aged care clients and staff alike.

Inclusion

We design our service around the full spectrum of disability and ageing, including the kinds you cannot see. No proof required.

Growth

We support participants and aged care clients toward their own goals, not the goals we think they should have.

There is a place for everyone here.

Across Gregory Hills, Camden, Campbelltown and surrounding areas, Banksia Care provides NDIS support and aged care for people of all ages. Disability can be visible, non-visible or not immediately apparent. That is well understood here.

lived experience.

For families and carers

Support built from lived experience.

Finding the right support takes time. The process of explaining your loved one's needs to a new provider, navigating funding systems and coordinating across professionals, schools and therapists is a significant undertaking in itself.

Banksia Care was founded by people who have been through that process firsthand. We work to make the experience of engaging with us straightforward, honest and low-barrier. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out.
