Transport

Getting from A to B is part of everyday life. Banksia Care provides transport support for participants as part of community access, appointments, Hub programs and daily routines.

What we provide

Transport that is part of the support, not an afterthought.

Transport at Banksia Care is not simply a vehicle and a driver. It is part of the broader support arrangement, planned around the participant's needs, communication, sensory considerations and the purpose of the journey.

All support workers providing participant transport must hold a current driver's licence and meet applicable requirements for their role. Appropriate vehicle insurance is maintained.

Transport may include

  • Pick-ups and drop-offs for community activities and outings
  • Transport to and from the Banksia Care Hub
  • Medical and other appointment transport
  • School-related transport where arrangements permit
  • Grocery shopping and everyday errands
  • Transport as part of community participation support

Funding note

Transport funding under the NDIS depends on the participant's plan, applicable NDIS rules and the specific support arrangement. Banksia Care will not make blanket NDIS transport funding claims. Eligibility will be discussed transparently as part of the service arrangement.
